IPL Light Therapy Treatment and Fractional Skin Treatment

IPL Light Therapy

BARE Medical Aesthetics offers a range of laser and light therapy treatments. Lumecca is the most powerful IPL to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. After just one use, you can expect significant improvement in the complexion and clarity of your skin. Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable light treatment. Our specialized professionals understand the importance of selecting the correct treatment for clients with individualized needs and skin tones/complexions.

FDA Approved

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy treatment is a photofacial treatment used to treat sun spots, rosacea, vascular lesions such as telangiectasias, redness, age spots, freckles and liver spots. IPL therapy treatment was approved by the FDA in the 90s and can help reduce the appearance of spider veins, redness, and brown spots on skin. This treatment effectively targets spots to improve both skin tone and texture through a non-invasive, non-surgical means.

IPL light therapy treatment can help reduce under eye bags and dark circles as well as remove age spots on your face. What’s more – IPL Therapy Treatment can be a highly effective means of reducing the appearance of rosacea, acne, and stubborn melasma.

Fractional Skin Treatment

Morpheus8 fractional laser resurfacing treatment stimulates collagen production of the underlying layers of the dermis. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, your face and body can be remodeled to reveal radiant, youthful skin. Fractional skin treatment can help you look like you got a flawless facelift without the surgical or ablative procedure.

BARE Medical Aesthetics offers IPL light therapy and fractional skin treatments for clients in London and the surrounding Southwestern Ontario area, such as Kitchener Waterloo, Cambridge, Sarnia, Woodstock and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas can be treated?

Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas for treatment include areas regularly exposed to the sun such as face, neck, hands, arms and decolletage.

Can I get IPL if I have a tan?

No, you must avoid direct sun exposure or tanning beds one month prior to treatment. You must wear an SPF following treatment to maintain best results.

Does IPL Light Therapy hurt?

During this treatment there will be a bright flash of light from the laser. The sensation to your skin feels like an elastic snapping lightly against your skin. Redness and warmth to the treated area are normal following the treatment.

What can I expect following IPL?

Over the next 24-48 hours following your treatment, you will notice a darkening of your brown spots and freckles. You may also be sensitive to direct sunlight or feel slightly dry following the treatment. Apply sunscreen and moisturizer as needed. In the week following, these spots will flake off. Veins that have been treated may go white or purple and then disappear. The result is even looking, beautiful skin.

When will I see results, and will I need more than one treatment?

Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically the best results are seen after 3-4 weeks. Skin will continue to improve for up to three months after the treatment. Treatment times and number of sessions needed will be determined by our team of professionals and will be based on your personal goals and objectives.

Can I put makeup on after my treatment?

Downtime is minimal, and makeup can be applied 1-2 days after your treatment. You can expect to see micro lesions and slight redness for a few days to one week after the treatment is complete.
